Our stage will be graced with Chicago's hottest hula hooper, Lula Hoop Garou, and with the much anticipated return of sultry rockabilly siren Rebecca Ryan. It also marks our first session partnered with Hotei Gallery and Art Center, dedicated to bringing an eclectic assortment of resources to Northside artists, including hosting our April session!

This Saturday's Brimstone Drawing Club session will be held at The Peter Jones Gallery (1806 West Cuyler, 2nd Floor). The gallery is located on the corner of Cuyler and Ravenswood, one block North of the Irving Park CTA Brown Line Stop, and just West of the Metra tracks. Please note that Ravenswood runs on both sides of the Metra Tracks. You must be on the West side of the tracks in order to find the gallery.

We hope to see you there! The gallery is a great space, with drawing benches available for your sketching pleasure. Otherwise, it'll be just the same great Brimstone session that you've come to expect!

Salome Slaughter can be seen in comic form in the Tim Seeley drawn Murder Suicide issue of Hack/Slash, which is going to be released this summer. She has performed locally with Varietease Cabaret and toured with the Suicide Girls burlesque show. She will also appear this summer in The Wizard of Gore, starring Crispin Glover, released August 19th.

George C. Clark FAL exhibiton, June 8th!

One of our favorite Brimstone artists, George C. Clark, is holding an exhibition of his work on Sunday, June 8th at the Figurative Art League in Evanston, including drawings based on sketches done at the BDC! He'll be showing drawings of Brimstone models Danielle (our incredible May belly dancer) and Miss Tamale (April's sensational alt model), among others. In his own words:

"This show is about my process of using life drawing not as practice, but to create art. A lot of the drawings are just like they were when the model stopped posing, but I'm also showing the pieces that evolved, that were corrected or altered, were combined to tell a story, or had backgrounds or color added."

We had an amazing time today at the Brimstone Drawing Club! Our models, Danielle and Chee Chee Claquette, inspired some great drawings with their wonderful poses and their beautiful costumes. We'll have more to share later, but we couldn't wait to give you a peek at what went on.

It's been a exciting couple of months at the BDC! Thanks to all of the artists who have attended the most recent sessions and made them so much fun and such a success. Thanks also to all of our gorgeous models--Natasha Minsk, Lyra Belecqua, Lady Fingers and MsPixy--who graced us with dazzling costumes and exciting poses! Don't believe us? The evidence is below!

In honor of this sweet month (because no matter how you feel about Valentine's Day, it's hard to hate candy) we're doubling down on pin-up models at the BDC! How can we express the delightfulness of October's session? Mere words are not enough! Thank goodness we're a bunch of artists (although sadly, not photographers ::sigh::).

Paris Green treated us to a variety of gorgeous poses and outfits, from vintage naughty nurse to her own sexy skin!

Then Miss Maya Sinstress enacted the role of a bad kitty!

Aren't you sad we don't have a photo of Paris as a space siren? Thank goodness Kyle Bice captured the pose!

Behold the Hotness of our October Models!

Our pin-up model for this month is Paris Green, the Pleasure Chest of the Midwest. Paris is the director and producer of the critically acclaimed burlesque troupe, The Belmont Burlesque Revue. In addition to her tantalizing teasing with the BBR, Ms. Green also hosts and produces The Forbidden Planet Cosmic Cabaret. In honor of Halloween, she joins us this month as a vintage naughty nurse. We can hardly wait!

We're also fortunate to have Miss Maya Sinstress joining us this month as our alt model. Miss Sinstress is an artist, fetish model, burlesque star and sideshow performer extraordinaire. On the 20th, she'll be bringing her fabulous physique and astonishing wardrobe to our stage. You won't want to miss this!

September's Amazing Alt Model Announced!

The Brimstone Drawing Club is a sketch workshop held monthly in Chicago, where pin-up babes and stunning alt models pose for your drawing pleasure. More leather, feathers and glitter than you can shake a stick (of charcoal) at! We promise to bring a little spunk and sparkle into your sketchbook!

At every session, The Brimstone Drawing Club provides TWO fabulous models for your drawing pleasure--one pin-up model and one alt model. During the first hour and a half, one model will take the stage, then, after the ten minute break, the other model will pose for the remaining hour and a half.

This month, the BDC is raising the bar for alt model fabulousness with one of Chicago's premier goth/fetish models, Chrystyne! Her modeling work has been featured in magazines like Bizarre (UK), Gothic Beauty, Marquis (FMD) and Skin Two and she's also a talented artist in her own right. We're so excited that she's agreed to grace our stage at September's session!

Our alt model this month will be Titi Touche of the Belmont Burlesque Revue, exploring her dark side in corsets and vinyl. Our pin-up model will be the sassy and adorable Lola Getz, putting her extensive experience as a fine art model to very naughty use!

For the Brimstone Drawing Club's inaugural event, we've scored two amazing models for your drawing pleasure! Your alt model of the month will be Ginger Stone, a fetish/art model, actor and singer. She's also a martial arts practitioner and stunt performer! Joining us to represent the pin-up team is fine art model and burlesque performer Naughty Natanya. You've probably drawn her before (the girl gets around!) but never like this!

Who's excited? We know we are! We'll see you at The Playground on the 21st!
